What's up everybody. Can't wait for tomorrow as we got some fun playoff football. Should be great to see how everthing rounds. Enjoy!

Seattle Seahawks +10

While I admit the Seahawks haven't had the toughest record this season, they've still shown up week in and week out to take care of business. Seattle finished the season with 3 losses, all on the road, and one against Washington in week 4. The Seahawks bring a well rounded team to the table; arguably the best back in the league, a solid passing game, and a decent defense that seems to have found its identity late in the season. On the other hand, Washington had a bit of a tougher schedule, but they're last six games (which they won SU and went 5-0-1 ATs) were against some weak opponents; St. Louis, Arizona, Giants, and Philly. The key to this game will be the run. Shaun Alexander is the league MVP and led all backs in the NFL in yards and touchdowns. Clinton Portis has been super for Washington, finishing the regular season with 100+ yards in five straight games, and scoring in 4 of 5. Though he was held to 53 yards on 16 carries against Tampa, he still did manage to get in the endzone on a powerful goal line run. Seattle's run defense has quietly become the 5th ranked unit in the league and is #2 in the NFC behind Carolina. Nursing not one but two sore shoulders, I think Portis will get shut down. Brunell may go off early in the air against the NFC's third worst pass defense, and I think Chris Cooley will have a big day, but unless the Skins can muster up some kind of run support, Brunell will be throwing picks in the end and Seattle will end a string of playoff defeats
Seattle 31, Washington 14

New England Patriots +3/Over 44

Why do I like New England? Two reasons: 1)Tom Brady and 2) Patriot D-Line. Both quarterbacks have been solid this season, but the edge definetly goes to Brady. If you can argue that, go for it, but it will be a tough one to win. Brady, as we all know, is undefeated in the playoffs. He's been consistent throughout his career, and he gets no respect. ;) Honestly, the Broncos get no respect and they do deserve it. They've had the talent for years to dominate the AFC but haven't been able to show anything until now. While Plummer has been very consistent and efficient all year long (3366 yards, 18 TD, 7 INT on 57.3% passing), I'm not totally sold on his ability to be a big game quarterback. The knock on Plummer has been that he is turnover happy, which is evident in his career numbers (150 TDs:148 INTs). I'm just waiting for him to fold and throw 4 picks in one game. New England's d-line has the power and ability to create mismatch problems for Denver's offense. I think Wilfork and Seymour will have huge days. These two met earlier this season in week 6, and Denver took an early 28-3 lead, only to have Brady lead the Patriots to two fourth quarter TDs to make the final score 28-20. Denver still won but New England was without Seymour and Tedy Bruschi. I know we're all getting sick of these Pats, but until further notice, I won't bet against them (especially as dogs) in the playoffs. New England takes an early lead, with a good game from Brady, but their lack of a run helps Denver make it close.
New England 31, Denver 21

I'm running out of time but I still have my picks for Sunday. This should hold us over for now. I hope to have time to post but I can't promise it. If you want my plays without a write-up, here they are.

Pittsburgh Steelers +10/under 47.5
Carolina Panthers +2.5

Good Luck!
